Rules of the Town Hall Blog Site

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the Troy University Faculty Council Town Hall Blog Site. 

I’ve set this site up as a way for University College faculty to have a forum for expressing their views and opinions about what the Faculty Council can do for them, since many of them couldn’t attend the on-site Town Halls.  However, any Troy University faculty member can certainly participate and add their opinions.  “Faculty member” certainly includes adjuncts, or other part time teachers, instructors, lecturers, as well as any tenured or tenure-track faculty.

There are certain rules to the blog, and I’d appreciate it if everyone would read over these carefully before posting.

First, you are welcome to post anonymously (without a name attached to the post) - but you must at least identify yourself with your rank and college and/or location. (For example:  Adjunct, Fort Benning, or, Professor, Troy Campus).  Posts without this information will be deleted.

Second, I appreciate all comments from any faculty member - but any complaints need to be accompanied by some type of suggestion for concrete action that the  Faculty Council can work on.  Please, no griping without a possible solution or course of action of some sort! 

Finally, please keep things civil and appropriate, and don’t post information that you don’t have direct knowledge of or that is not verifiable in some way.
